Understanding ADHD
Approximately 4.4% of US adults experience attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).
Symptoms typically impair attention and organization, and may be accompanied by hyperactivity or impulsivity. ADHD can affect daily functioning at home, school, and work — but with the right support, meaningful improvement is achievable.
Recognizing the Signs
ADHD looks different in every person — and understanding its many forms is the first step toward effective care.

Treatment
Treatment is often indicated if someone is experiencing a reduced quality of life or difficulty functioning in their usual way.
ADHD is typically treated with behavioral modifications, such as working with a psychologist or an executive functioning coach. Some patients may also benefit from medication treatment.
